Ingredients

▢ 1½-2 lbs sirloin tips
▢ ½ medium yellow onion - diced
▢ 1 packet dry onion soup mix
▢ 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
▢ ½ cup salted butter
▢ Fresh chopped parsley - optional

Instructions

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
Add the beef tips and onion and cook for about 2 minutes per side, just until lightly browned.
Transfer the beef and onions to the slow cooker.
Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the beef and pour in the Worcestershire sauce. Stir gently.
Place the remaining butter on top.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, until the beef is tender.
Stir gently before serving and garnish with parsley, if desired.

Notes

Browning the beef first adds flavor before slow cooking. Cooking on low for the full time helps the beef turn tender and juicy. Leftovers store well in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
