Almond Flour Chocolate Cookies
Almond flour chocolate cookies are a delicious gluten free treat. These almond flour cookies combine the rich taste of chocolate and nutty flavor thanks to the almond flour. These cookies come out flavorful, chewy, and full of chocolate flavor.
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter - softened
- ½ cup brown sugar - packed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups almond flour packed
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream together the softened butter and sugars until creamy.
- Beat in the egg and the vanilla extract until combined.
- In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients; almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Slowly blend the dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture until the ingredients are combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Use a #40 cookie scoop (about 1.5 tablespoons of dough) to scoop the cookie dough balls. Place them onto the parchment paper-lined baking sheet and gently press the tops of the cookie dough balls to flatten the tops.
- Bake one cookie sheet at a time for 9-11 minutes.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and allow the cookies for at least 10 minutes before carefully moving the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Allow the cookies to cool and firm up before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
